I quite liked the aniseed in the middle, I was always quite thrilled when I got to that bit.

They do however, make your breath smell very odd.

I liked them...gobstoppers used to have different layers, and aniseed was usually the last one...

The rectangular lozenges (with cut away corners) tasting of licorice, with printed words on them, were another one associated with head colds...pretty hot on your tongue...
