Pu-erh Tea

Am just wondering if anyone has used this tea? I started drinking it, mainly because I had been to a chinese doctor who said that it was good for me (ie my particular constitution) - he also said alot of other things too ! but I am asking this because I can get the tea in the local asian store and it's not dear, but it is now being marketed as something so-called celebrities use to lose weight and beauty salons are charging a fortune for it!

Funnily enough I started drinking this in the late 90s instead of dioralyte to cure hangovers. Think it helps lower cholestoral too, it probably contains the same plant extracts that make tubs of margarine 4 times more expensive.
Im back on the green tea or fruit tea these days.
