Cooked this last night, fresh ones, followed the instructions to the letter and they were horrible, weird texture, sort of a cross between mash and pasta, but not nice lol, what could I have done wrong?
Odd is a good word for them lol, I only cooked them after watching Hardeep on Celeb Masterchef and the judges were going on about how good his were, think I'll stick to big standard pasta next time, thank you :o)
I cooked them once. Didn't like them at all, found them very strange.
I too thought that i had done something wrong, but now i realise that i hadn't, their obviously meant to be like that!
If you don't like the texture, then I'd advise you to oven bake them. That way you'll get some with a nice chewy crunch to them.
boil em, drain em, stick in a backing dish , stir in some pesto, throw mozarella and parmesan on the top top and cook (about 200c) unti golden brown and bubbling.
Lol, glad it's not just me then, to be honest I ate two after they were cooked, thought yuck and said I wasn't hungry lol, gave the rest to hub and daughter........they were impressed till they tasted them!
