has anybody got any tips on what foods to eat, too lose weight!
how many calories should i be having a day??

A lady 1000 and a man 2000.
Don't give up anything you particularly like or you'll get fed up and fail. A little of everything is the best way....oh and plenty of water !!!
Have you tried the slimming world diet? I lost 2 1/2 stone in 9 months on this diet and reached my target weight. I basically do "green days" which consist of fruit, vegetables, pasta, potatoes etc. I eat a lot of quorn but you can eat meat if you prefer, just in smaller quantities. Like GK said, make sure you treat yourself once a week though! That is tonight for me...after I get weighed of course.
Recently I cut out all sugar (apart from fruit) and didn't eat after 7pm. I stopped picking and drank water, herb teas and if I was hungry I ate brown rice (luckily I like it!) and I have lost over 7lbs in about 3 weeks. However - I did not do it to lose weight but it was more a discipline issue for me. Of course I am delighted I lost the weight but now I have to get my trousers taken in! Once you realise that all this food business is a habit, and if you can be disciplined for a week, you will feel better and it won't be so hard then to cut out food you pick on.! good luck.

You should be having 2000 calories on a normal day or if trying to lose weight, 1200. I lost two and a half stone last year doing it this way...

If you reduce you calorie intake by 500 per day you should lose a pound a week.

eat more dates,theyre a natural laxative and yummy!
Forget calorie counting,cut down on fatty fried foods,eat less carbs especially bread,cut down on sugary foods,eat lots of salads,fruit and veg,plenty of water(which helps to make you feel full up)and walk more.
Most importantly, lose weight gradually otherwise your body slows down its metabolism when you're not eating very much.
