Mint Poppets or Mintolas?
Question Author
no, you know the munchies you get now, they were in a packet like that only green, had a biscuit base and minty creamy stuff in dark chocolate!!
No..they didn't used to have a biscuit base and they were called Mintolas...always very similar in packaging to Munchies though.
I only ever had 20p so I could only buy a Twix or a Double Decker. I used to yearn for munchies and those mint things. ha ha.
They sound just like the Mint Munchies you get now (except they don't have the biscuit - just the dark chocolate and the cream..)
sft42 is right: Mint Munchies used to be called Mintola. The name was changed for marketing reasons: to make it clear that Munchies and Mintola were related products made by the same company, and to encourage people who liked original Munchies to try the mint version, and vice versa. It's only original Munchies (in the red wrapper) that had a biscuit base, however: Mintola was always just chocolate with a mint centre, as Mint Munchies are today. It's the same product, it's just called by a different name these days.
Also, they were similar to those "Pyramint" things, remember them? mmmmm yum
Oh Wow, PaulB. Pyramint... Ignore my answer to 'Meaning of Life?' (See Body and Soul), Pyramint (AND Mint Fresco) is the meaning of life...! Feel hungry now :(
