Sweets quiz

Sorry to be boring but I am trying one more time with these two questions as I am running out of time before I need to submit my answers.
The following are clues to sweets.
1. Where retired people live
2. Old prigs treat

The first we keep coming up with Quality Street but don't get the Quality bit.
The second someone has suggested Parma Violets but again I am not sure.
Can anyone please help or at least give views as to whether you agree with the suggested answers.

Thanks for your thoughts. I have already put humbugs for the following clue:
You wouldn't like to like them.
Not sure if that is right or not.
I like the answer Twilight but not sure if it quite fits the clue as you wouldn't live there.
I have tried googling on dandy candy which sounded promising but I haven't managed to locate anything.
I have had a thought about the second one. One dictionary said that an old prig is sometimes referred to as a maid and therefore I'm thinking Merry maid toffees.
Would very much welcome people's views.

I had a look on Go ogle and seen a quiz where Quality Street was the answer to the clue "Where refined people live/

Could it be that "refined" was mis-read as "retired" by the person setting your quiz?

There was nothing about prigs..

People often retire to the seaside, so how about seaside rock?

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think you could be right about the refined people....I think we will go with that answer as it defintely covers the where people live bit.
