Starters
How about mini quiches with some salad dressing. You can jazz it up a bit using something like goats cheese.
Stuffed roast peppers are lovely, with rice or couscous and mushroom, onion, courgette etc... You could also stuff jacket potato skins, remove the potato inside and mix with a filling then put back and may sprinkle over some grated cheese and grill. Stuffed large tomatoes too.
A selection of continental breads and cheeses and maybe some meats eg salami, chorizo, brie. A pot with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar is lovely for dipping the breads in too.
Making your own soups are good too.
Puds
Make or buy a pastry case, bake if not ready baked and fill with tinned fruit such as peach slices or mandarin segments or even strawberries or other berries. Mix up the geletin mix, pour over and chill until the geletin sets.
Serve with single cream.
Or
Buy some fresh fruit such as raspberries, crush some and place in the bottom of a nice glass and pour over some fresh rice pudding (or yoghurt) then top with some more of the whole fruits as a garnish. You can put a biscuit base at the bottom too for a bit of crunch.
Fruit crumbles are also easy to make.
