Dinner or Lunch ?

Regional expressions fascinate me, including what makes some of us (in the North ???) call the mid-day meal dinner, and others ,lunch.
Where are you from and what do you call it ?

it's not really about forgetting my origins or some sort of class war for me. though i'm from leeds and grew up using 'dinner' and 'tea' (see my previous answer) i just prefer using the word lunch as the alternative 'dinner' is ambiguous. similarly 'tea' is ambiguous as someone already pointed out.

admittedly this does not solve the problem completely as we are still left with 'dinner' being ambiguous!
