Why does my dishwasher always leave 2 or 3 glasses in the top tray with a scum like deposit in them. Trouble is it dries on and then I have to soak them to get it out. I keep the arms and filters clean and the salt & rinseaid is always full. It happens with any type of dishwasher powder or tablets.

I have had this problem before and still not sure what causes it. The only thing that I think it could be is that it is too full and the water does not flow around everything properly to clean it or there is something in a position which stops one or more of the jets spraying upwards in to the glasses/mugs leaving scum on them.
Yes we have this problem. Do you put salt in the machine which is necessary especially if you live in a hard water area?
try turning the rinse aid up 1 number at a time.
if this doesn't do it try washing the glasses on the bottom shelf.
also , is it just one area of the dishwasher that this occurs in or anywhere on the top shelf?
one tip for you ab-ers when you put the cuttlery in holder try putting knives in one row, forks in next and spoons then teaspoons, get the idea?
doesn't wash any better but when you take them out they are allready sorted, easy to put away.

Thanx for all your answers and to markja for the top tip!!
It happens even when there're only a few things in it, and yes the salt and riseaid is always kept topped up. I will try turning the rinseaid up a notch, but failing that it may just end up as one of those mysteries of life!!
wouldnt be an indesit dishwasher would it.? Mine is the same.
