Date Spread.

I used to buy a date spread from the Coop. They no longer stock this, anyone know a supplier, failing that a recipe would be nice, its yummyl

A recipe, I'd never thought of that. My fave is the quince spread, mmmmmmm. Anyway here's a recipe............. 3/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 tsp chilli flakes, 2/3 tsp garlic, 8 oz dates

OOPS, 1/4 cup sugar, 2/3 tsp ginger and boil for 2 minutes. The dates should be chopped first and you should cool before using (obviously).
