Twinkie
9 Answers
Many American films/books/songs refer to 'twinkies'. From what I can gather it is some really bad-for-you sweet product. Can someone describe what one actually tastes like/ is made of?
What is the nearest UK equivalent?
If I went to the states, where would I look to find one?

I think there's also a crude slang usage in America (or used to be). The American actor Charles Bronson once made a very bad, little-seen film about a relationship with a nubile schoolgirl, which was re-named to for it's release in Britain, but whose original release title in America had been..."Twinkie"...!!
