this isn't entirely a food question, but what is the protocol for wedding photographers... do you have to pay for their meal as well as the guests or is it included in the cost?
thanks

i work in a hotel and have worked hundreds of weddings and its very unusual for the photographer to eat - if they do they order from the hotel themselves - i dont thinks its necessary to provide a meal for them, i guess it depends whether they are there just to take pictures prior to the meal or if your having him there for the whole event taking casual pictures as well as the staged ones.

thank you very much
If the photographer is a close personal friend or a relative then yes, you should pay for their meal. If not then they don't usually have a meal.
As a courtesy you might want to pay for a bar snack for him - but it's very unusual to pay for a sit down meal with you and your family and friends.
