When you ladies are poorly, how does you partner cope when it comes to the day to day running of the house?

Normally when I am poorly, I just get on with it, might winge but I still get on with it.

The past couple of days though I have been pretty much bed ridden with an infection that has given me flu like symptoms as well as a stomach and nausea. I actually had to get my doctor our yesterday afternoon as well as calling the emergencey doctor last night!

My boy friend has shocked me to be honest. Without me having to ask he has just taken over the reins and got on with it! As soon as he got home from work yesterday, he went and got my prescription the looked after me and my daughter til my daughter went to bed. Today he was up doing housework then took my daughter with him to get something for dinner, which he then cooked.

He has done all this as well as run around after making sure I have everything I need and keeping me comfortable ( and putting up with my temper! lol) He even sat on the side of the bed last night dabbing my burning head with a wet flannel!! He keeps wants to stroke my arm or give me cuddles but unfortunately my skin feels so sore and tender to touch right now.

I havent had to ask or want for anything....except to get better!!

Any ladies out there as luky as me? What have your fellas done thats really nice while youve been sick?

Aw Psychick, poor you. Get well soon...
Your fella sounds like he's got the right end of the stick!

Mine is good; he looks after me. When I was really bad last year with my first ever bout of flu, he went out and bought a mini CD player for the bedroom, a load of books and mags, my favourite food and drink...He is good that way. And usully we will share the chores, although I get the cr*ppy ones: cleaning under the loo seat etc.

On a different, but similar note, the dog was sick yesterday morning (Steve walked him when he got home from work at 7, so I had a lie in!), and when I came downstairs, he told me he had cleaned it with...wait for it....Febreze!!!

Bless him for trying :S

When i hadnt been with my fella long, I stayed at his for the weekend and came down with something, so he phoned up work and took 2 days off to look after me and run round after me!
And then on the 2nd evening, he phoned my mum and asked her & my stepdad to come pick me up as although he was doing a fantastic job, with me still only being 17, he felt i needed to be home with my mum in my own bed :)
Yes, and sorry Psychick, get well soon :)

To be honest, i think im already a very lucky girl, my fella does all the cooking and cleaning, and i look after the animals! Which yes does leave me with the litter tray duties and the dog poop run, but to be honest, how can i complain when he drives me around, cooks, cleans, tells me to go out and treat my self on 75 hand bags and phones up to book my nail appointments because im not to confident on the phone!!
you are making me sick!!! lol my partner does...mmmm...let me see....nope cant think of anything....
