What are the benefits of drinking camomile tea?

It doesn't contain tannin, like normal tea, so it's better for your system, and people who enjoy it prefer the refreshing taste.

Herballists prescribe camomile for stress. it is said to be relaxing, and to cure headaches. The stuff you get from the co-op is unlikely to be herballist grade though.

though i have to say that to me it tastes of cat wee. an alternative is limeflower which is far nicer

It is supposed to have a calming affect on upset stomachs. I always find it helps after I have overdone it with food and drink the night before.
