I am starting a rebellion against poncy supermarket sandwiches with there posh expensive fillings - what about marmite or Jam cut into 4 neat little squares!

I had 4 little bovril sambos today just like my mum used to put in my lunch box! (with crusts on)

Who's going to follow suit tommorrow?

My Dad used to like a bar of Fry's chocolate cream in a sarnie.
I loved any sauce or salad cream.
Not a sandwich but we used to open out a big lettuce leaf and put a spoonful of sugar in the middle, draw up the edges and twist them to make a little pouch and then eat it from the bottom.
Roast beef and horseradish are my favourite in a sandwich now.
Ive just asked my boyfriend about what he had in sandwiches as a kid..........he said cheese and jam is quite nice!
