what food should i take camping for a weeks holiday? TIA

well it all depends on what you're taking to cook it on. If you've got some sort of BBQ grill thing, then anything BBQ-able is suitable.
If you've got a small cooker, like a Gaz stove, then anything that's boilable (that a word?) will do.
If you have 2 gas rings then you can cook things like corned beef hash and beans, spag bol, chilli and rice, curries. I try and take things in jars and tins which don't need refrigeration. Some supermarkets sell pate in glass jars and that's useful. Dried soups. If you are on a budget and have the room make sure you buy everything you need at home where you have a choice of shops. Don't forget things like salt, pepper, sauces, sugar and cooking oil, tinfoil and plastic boxes to store opened food. Not all camp sites allow BBQs so make sure before you rely on one. There's nothing quite like a tasty meal cooked and eaten outside.
