i think the vitamins are either dissolved from food sources with acids and then precipitated as a powderr by chemical process, or the vitamins are created synthetically in labs. the powder mixtures are blended in the RDA proportions and then pressed into tablets in moulds. they are coated with titanium dioxide and iron (usually) for sale. some are blended with silicon dioxide for bulk.
