I wish to send a small amount of Blue Stilton Cheese to a friend in Rome.
Am I allowed to?
Many Thanks.

i send stuff to my aunt in swizterland with any probs, i'd make sure its vacuum packed though!

as far as i know its only the usa that you have to notify in advance or something odd like that
I've been sending Stilton to an Aunt in Florida for the past couple of years. Just made out the usual green Customs slip and I've had no problems.
EU law requires that you must be freely allowed to move all goods (including foodstuffs) within the European Union. (The only exceptions apply to temporary prohibitions, relating to such things as BSE). You'll have no problems sending cheese. (Unlike Kanewood's exports to the USA, you don't require a CN22 customs declaration form for goods posted to an EU address).
