Sodastream Problem

I just bought a sodastream but no matter how many puffs of gas I pump into my drink I cannot get a truly fizzy drink.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, did you manage to find a solution ?

That's 'cos they're crap and should have stayed in the eighties when we expected less from our gizmos. 2 litres of multi-flavoured fizzy drinks costs as little as 39p in most supermarkets these days...

Does it make a noise when you press the button? I'm thinking empty gas cylinder or perished seal.

Having the bottle of water well chilled will allow better carbonation.

Thanks telb -have checked all connections and they are o.k.
It is a new item recently purchased - I have contacted sodastream and they are proving to be very helpful - even offering to replace the item F.O.C.

They are crap. You can get litres of fizzy drinks for next to nothing, ie. why would you bother with a soda stream - "it's fun to make your own!" I hear you say, (!) and don't be as presumptious to make assumptions as to where I am from through a made up name. I couldn't give a toss about rugby. Im off now, bye.

I had one of these years ago, and known others who have had them and I must say, why would you bother these days? It was pretty useless at making drinks, even then when it was a gimmick to do so.

i have one as well and the only problem i have is finding somewhere that sells the concentrate and gas bottle.3 large supermarkets nearby and not one sells the stuff.oh and it does work perfectly fine.
