Any ideas? I have the usual rolls and sandwiches but what else can I have as small buffet party food? We are preparing it ourselves for over 100 people in 2 weeks time and I am getting worried. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

It all has to be cold too as preparing it and then taking to venue.

Thanks Jules x

Are you considering some sweet food as well?

If on a budget, can't go wrong with swiss roll. They are only about 40 pence for the Supermarket own brands.

So for 15 quid you can have, errrrrrrrrrrrrr, (1500 div by .40 =) errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

= Loads of Swiss Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
samosas, onion bhajees, spring rolls, chicken drumsticks - all cooked the day before.
last year a friend of mine decided to kill alot of birds with one stone and invited everyone she knew. To keep things simple she went to her local dairy shop and bought 3 cheeses. A complete cheddar, a complete Brie and something Blue, plus lots of baguettes and some grapes. It was brilliant and easy

We did think we would just get a huge selection of little cakes! A friend works for a certain Mr Kipling.
Plus of course there will be our Silver wedding cake. Do you think thats too much cake? No surely you can't get enough cakes eh?!!
Well cake can always be taken home can't it???

Going back a few threads, have you ever eaten tongue??

It is the best salad meat you can buy. Lovely stuff.

Yes I have tried it but really didn't like it. Actually don't know anyone who does. I will ask around everyone now and see how many do like it and if it proves popular I will include it.
Thx
nice to put raisins or sultanas in the coleslaw or even mango if not too expensive!
When I ran a social club I used to buy a lot of things for lunches & buffets from a branch of Iceland. Their (many, varied) products, some frozen obviously, were economical & tasty compared to the cheap Macro stuff the previous steward used to serve. People particularly liked their (about 6") microwaveable deep pan pizzas.

Thanks for that. Was thinking of Iceland for some of the stuff so will pop along soon.
