I have an opened bag of potatoes for a month and they smell really damp but if I remove their skins and make mashed potato do you think that they will taste fine? Or should I just throw them away?

My honest opinion is that you should throw them away. The damp could penetrate to the insides of the potatoes; and in any case, a month is a really long time!
The pots seem to have botrytus. If eaten you will probably have stomach upset or enteritis......bin them!
Eeeuuuww-do get rid of them....surprised they are not all green by now.
Cut one in half, if they're dodgy they go all weird in the centre.

Theyre not at all green and only a couple of them have a little bit of roots.
they cost a couple of quid a bag - what would you prefer - the chance to have food poisoning, or to put them in the bin?
Uggghhh chuck em away

I binned them already :)
