Does anyone know what the starter is to Friendship Cake? I have been given a slice, but would like to make a larger one, but it seems it needs the 'Starter' to make it. It takes 10 days thereafter apparently, before one can actually make it.

Thank you so much for that Jugglering. I'm just printing it off, and will make a start. I do hope it's going to be worth the 10 day wait!!!!
i didn't really understan that - can you explain what a friendship cake is? At what point are you meant to pass it on?
Sorry if i sound a bit thick!
Crisgal - have a peek at the link I posted - you will see that one starts off a yeast mix, passes onto a friend some of that mix, the remainder of which gets made into a cake... the friend then develops the mix, keeps a bit back to make into a cake for themselves and passes the other bit on....

That's why it's called a friendship cake....
