So, I've just been to the meat market and got some lovely pieces of belly pork and some lamb shoulder. I dont know which to cook for tonight's tea. I was going to slow cook them with some root veg (not both together of course!) but unsure how to get the best from either cuts to be honest. Any help gratefully received.
Thanks.

I like belly pork roasted in the oven but our teeth can no longer cope with the crackling so I do it the slow cooker .
I cut the belly strips in half ,brown them ,bung them in the slow cooker with carrots ,peppers ;green and red , and a fat leek all roughly chopped .Make a roux from the fat I browned them in ,splosh some cider in it and some cream, good grind of black pepper and pour that over the meat etc and leave to sozzle as long as you like .
