Freezer Problem
5 Answers
I have a large integral fridge/freezer - large fridge at top and three compartments at freezer below. Every time I put a new bulb in the fridge, the plug shorts so I now have a fridge with no light but at least its working. However I decided to defrost the freezer - top shelf of bottom part. The bottom part of the ice melted fine, where the food and ice cubes rest on , but the top part - connected to the underneath of the fridge, didn't melt at all. So I left it and switched on the fridge. Now the top half of the freezer which is still full of ice, doesn't seem to be properly frozen - when I touch it flakes of frost like snow fall off and it now looks like snow on the food, in the freezer. Is my fridge on its way out or is there anything I can do to mend it or is it worth having someone in to mend it ? It is quite old now anyway, around 15 years! Trouble is, it is joined to the matching doors of the kitchen, (I think it is called integral) so would be a hassle to replace, and then join to the doors again. Sorry this means the front of the fridge is covered by matching unit doors. Do I make my self clear? Hope so !

anyway the fridge/freezer itself. i dont have a solution other than replace it but after 15 years its earned a rest. can you wait another 6 weeks and replace it in the sales?
