I am looking to buy my very first coffee machine/maker now that the sales are on and would like any advice or recommendations. Ideally would not like to spend more than 50!

Hi filth,
I have just bought one. A morphy Richards 12 cup filter coffee maker. Depends what you're after, just a filter machine or cappuchino or a mixture of both. I bought mine from Argos - 49.99 It has a programmable timer, so you can set it to come on in the morning. It has it's own permanent filter & thermostatic hotplate to keep the coffee piping hot! I'm really pleased with it! Argos - 422/ 5276 www.argos.co.uk
In December I bought a Russell Hobbs 12 cup filter coffee maker from Argos for full price of 19.59. It also has a clock/programmable timer, permanent filter and the hotplate turns itself off after 2 hours. I'm really pleased with mine too!!

Thanks guys. I'm now basing my decision on consistency of product reviews on argos.co.uk
I'm starting a new question now asking which one of the two I'm interested in is better.
