iam doing an intermediate food hygiene course at the moment and they are saying that dried coconut poses a high risk of salmonella food poisoning,anyone know why or how! chicken and eggs are the most common forms of salmonella but coconut in dried form? anyone?

It's because of the cases found in imports from asia. In the states they've even found cholera in coconut candy. It's typically down to poor hygene in production.
