Did I dream this or did I hear it on the radio? I really am not sure. After decades Oxo cubes are no longer going to be cubes, After October they are changing thier shape to 'EGG' shape...... Can anyone confirm I heard this right? (or perhaps I did dream it) my hubby thinks I did. J

They are changing shape but it's not egg shaped. It's still like a cube but with bits cut out to make it crumble easier.
they got fed up with being associated with the Borg so are making them into Enterprise shapes

sorry bored couldn't help it :)
No, you didn't dream it! They say they are to be X shaped for easier crumbling. You couldn't make it up really!!!
How daft is that, easier to crumble.
I never found them hard to crumble.
Crumble before you open,simples.
Cool! I loved when tea bags went to triangles... But I live a rather sheltered life.

It was more like a nightmare then, why can't they leave things alone?

How's your carpet China?
Mainly smelly. There should be someone coming in this week to sort it out now, money talks as always.
yes, if you lay 10 notes under it they soak up the damp.

There's a report and a picture of the new shape here. Just how they can make the new X-cube the same size and weight as the old one when it has bits missing is beyond me! Note that it's being offered initially as a ''limited edition''. Stay with the old shape, I say.
Maybe the new shape is more compressed...so weighs the same....but then that might make it harderto crumble.
I say stick with Knorr cubes......they are never as hard as OXO.....lol

Thanks for that HF most interesting. I bet too they only put 10 in a box so we end up paying for thier new fangled idea's.
Did they consult us the consumer?.............
Of course not.
Thanx for your interest everyone.
J
Note that it's being offered initially as a ''limited edition''.

They've changed all their plant machinery to accommodate the new size, really can't see them being in a rush to change it back again.
Hmm, never hard to crumble at all.

Ruddy fiddly to open tho, and that ain't gonna change!
Well I'm excited by the new X oxos, they sound fun and a bit risque.
^ You need to get out more ;-)
