It's my fault I should have said I can't eat garlic, chili or peppers , sorry for not mentioning that. I have googled but everything I read included some of the above. Thanks again for the links Chris, the last one looks the best.

how about a nice, chunky veg soup/stew thing, with pasta in it? bit like a ministrone, you could put whatever veg and meat you like in it, with or without garlic.
or a savoury crumble, either a veggie one or with some meat, in a white sauce, with a crumble top containing nuts, seeds, etc.
i don't just keep kidney beans for chillie, you can put them in lots of things.

tuna and pasta salad? just add the kidney beans and whatever else you like - i use green beans and young broad beans and just simple dressing
