Stuffed Marrow
5 Answers
Hi all! The other half keeps asking me to make stuffed marrow. Does anyone have any good recipes? I've never had marrow before, I did ask the other half how to do it but I was met with a blank exspression! He can whip up a good curry but can't cook anything else!
Any suggestions welcome.

peel and cut the marrow into 2-3 inch rounds and scrape the seeds and pith out
boil marrow for 15 mins in boiling water and drain
meanwhile cook some minced steak with chopped onions and gravy
place marrow rounds in an ovenproof dish and fill each with the mince
place foil over dish and cook in hot oven for around 30 mins
some people like to put parsley or sage stuffing instead of mince, but this is the way we all like to eat marrow
keep and dry some od the marrow seeds and growing your own nex season !!!!
happy eating

I cut mine lengthwise too, removing the seeds and bake it a hot oven until it's soft. Then I either fill the hollow with Bolognese sauce, or put a layer of cooked rice in the hollow and the Bolognese sauce on top of that.
Another alternative is to fry a mixture of onions, mushrooms, tomatoes & peppers, stir it into some hot cooked macaroni, spoon that mixture into the hollow of the marrow when it's nearly cooked, cover with grated cheese and return to hot oven until the cheese has melted.
