well i make everything myself using as much organic produce as possible....i lay the table with colour coordinating colours and i make my own crackers and find small gifts to put in them,,i also put small presents on the table,,nothing expensive just a bar of soap wrapped up or spirit minitures or hankys or other little things...so eveyone has something to open after their big dinner...and i try to put as much fresh greenery in the room such as holly and a real tree,,,my turkey will be rubbed all over the day before with spices to give it a bit of taste and on the day it will be stuffed with pork sausagemeat and leek stuffing and then i put bacon rashers over the breast so it doesnt dry out ..the gravy stock will have been made with the giblets on xmas eve,,,and all the vegetables prepared..then i only have to cope with 2 small grandchildren and 2 dogs running in and out my legs when i am cooking the rest...no doubt all men will be absent around that time,,,but they can wash up later,,,happy xmas...gypsy
