it seems that every week we are eating the same old food and its getting boring now, but my mum and dad are realy fussy eaters so can anyone come up with recipes that DON'T include any of the following;

nuts, pasta, rice, noodles, couscous, oats,
really spicy ingredients, ginger, cumin, turmeric, honey, syrup,
tuna, crab, lamb, Beef, muscles, smoked fish,
coconut, spinach, cauliflour, sprouts, lentils, beensprouts, swede, turnips, parsnips, courgette, any cheese other than chedar,

Is anyone up to the challenge to find something that we will all eat? i would prefer recipes for main courses but if you have a nice starter or dessert they're welcome aswell.

sorry if there is anything i've missed, i'll add it later.

ummm, its alright if thats all you grew up with and you don't like other forms of carbs, but i like coucous pasta and rice and find it annoying having potato 5/6 times a week.
I have rice, noodles etc but have been known to have a side order of potatoes as well :-)
we got chinese last night and he ordered spare ribs honey lemon chicken with rice and chips, rice AND chops whaaaaaat that's mad
rice and chips not chops lol
Chicken in a roast pepper sauce.

How about doing the potatoes differently?
Question Author
uummm would the chicken be roasted and how would you make the sauce?
Question Author
we only ever have roast, mash boiled or chip potatoes and sometimes sauteed and probably 2/3 times a year dophinnoise (how ever they are spelt)

and me and mum sometimes have jackets, but when dad goes out and does the shopping he hardly ever gets potatoes big enough for jackets, for some reason.
You could cook it anyway I suppose. I would cook it in the sauce to keep it moist if it's a breast. If legs or drum sticks I would probably roast them.

The sauce.....depends what texture you want it. I don't really bother roasting the peppers anymore. Anyway....finely dice some mixed pepper and a couple of shallots and fry until softened. Add some water, tomato puree and some sugar. It's a bit of a trial and error depending on your taste. Quick, simple, tasty and good for you.
Oh and Garlic....fry with the onions and peppers.
What about these potatoes. You could leave the butter out..

Where does it say that ummmm?
ooh - also bacon pudding with roast spuds and gravy - half a packet of suet, twice as much plain flour, an onion and streaky bacon all mixed to make a great big dumpling. put in dish lined with greaseproof paper, cover and steam for four hours. LUSH...but very naughty again. best thing EVER...X
