Where would I get Blackcurrant Leaves? Not having much garden can't grow 'em!

Someone reccomended them to add to a green salad....

try your local allottments, see if someone grows them and will let you have some
I should warn you that we have blackcurrant bushes in our garden (only 2) and one day by mistake I thought I would chew a leaf!
They are incredibly sharp, much like a very strong version of the blacurrant fruit itself.
I don't know how you prepare them for a green salad (blanch them?) but raw they would make your mouth pucker up.
You ARE sure it's blackcurrant leaves you want,it's just I have never heard of them in a salad before,probably for the above reasons.
I said to put them in a salad in another thread. We often pick the young leaves appearing about now and a few leaves does add a fragrance to a salad, in fact I am sitting here eating one now and it tastes blackcurranty and salad leafy!

We got the plants from our local nursery. I have also had a plate of summer pudding this evening made from last year's frozen blackberries, redcurrants and strawberries!

I do love a green leafy salad drizzled with balsamic vinegar & olive oil.
