hiya

i was talking to some firends about our favourite dishes as kids/teens and wondered what yours were?

mine was my nans apple pie, partly as she was a great cook and partly because we used to pick the apples xx

I want to visit you in Spain....
I'm with the rice pudding fans My Grandfather used to make a brilliant one with eggs and butter and the top of about 4 pints of milk baked for hours so it had a proper skin... I still make it the same way.... or school jelly and blancmange..... or proper fish and chips cooked in dripping ......my lunchtime sarnie is becoming less appealing by the minute
Gran, you can get peaspudding in tins now in the supermarket, its lovely stuff. We have it with boiled bacon. Yum!

Oh alBags! I'd forgotten about junket! I remember it now, My mum used to make it for us, lovely! and here blackcurrant pie was to die for! We used to pick the blackcurrants, and within an hour the pie would be ready!........with lovely fresh cream!.............Oooo! I can nearly taste it now!............

My mam makes an amazing apple tart too...me and my brother keep hounding her to make another hahahah

I just don't want people thinking my mam brought myself and my brother up on frozen pizza and noodles because that's quite the opposite ...

warning though, i dont live in the costas, i live in the wet, windy north of spain, so dont bring suncream, bring a good kagoul.

another thing i remember was ketchup sandwiches, disgusting thought now but i loved em as a kid... oh nd bubble and squeek i loved that every saturday lunch with the leftovers from friday nights dinner... mmm im hungry lol x
