I'm with the rice pudding fans My Grandfather used to make a brilliant one with eggs and butter and the top of about 4 pints of milk baked for hours so it had a proper skin... I still make it the same way.... or school jelly and blancmange..... or proper fish and chips cooked in dripping ......my lunchtime sarnie is becoming less appealing by the minute
Oh alBags! I'd forgotten about junket! I remember it now, My mum used to make it for us, lovely! and here blackcurrant pie was to die for! We used to pick the blackcurrants, and within an hour the pie would be ready!........with lovely fresh cream!.............Oooo! I can nearly taste it now!............
Oh suezy! I don't think that anyone would think that way!.............Mums take great care to feed their children well, and I know that your Mum was no exception!.............
