Right, I've been vegging all day due to working my ass off yesterday providing food at the party.

I've got some scallops and prawns left over in the fridge (they smell OK) and some squid in the freezer. Thought about doing a seafood pasta. I am not sure whether it is best to do a creamy sauce or a tomato sauce. I've got fresh pasta, parsley, basil, tomatoes (fresh or tinned), cream, various dried spices and herbs, chilis, peppers, mushrooms.

Any quick and easy ideas please?!

Got any risotto rice? A seafood risotto would be nice.

No, no risotto rice and I am not sure the stepdaughter will eat risotto - I can get her to eat prawns, but whatever I do, I shall have to pick the scallops and squid out!!!!!!!!!
I'd of said paella but I'd of used long grain rice or basmati.
Kebabs?
can I come over?
okay, toss the seafood into a little hot olive oil and stir around till cooked (you may need to add smaller (or already cooked) things before the larger ones. Once cooked, turn off the heat add some butter if you like or a little more oil and the juice of a lemon or so and as muxh sea salt and fresh black pepper as you like. Serve on the cooked pasta.

That's pretty much what I ended up with woofgang. But as well as butter and lemon whacked in some garlic and fresh coriander.
How about a creamy white sauce with dill, mushrooms and shredded lemon zest if you have a lemon....could also pop in a chicken stock cube in the sauce.
