Question Author
Why? - I don't shop at supermarkets for major foodstuffs, so I wouldn't know current market prices. AND as I'm sick and tired of saying, I don't cook it all, just what my husband chooses to what I have in the fridge.
Question Author

Hello,
do you please have a recipe for the chicken and ham cannelloni ?
Question Author
Sure Eloisey!! This is a great 'left-overs' dish, but of course you can cook meat fresh if you want.
Fry a large chopped onion and some garlic (up to you if you like, omit if you don't!) in a little olive oil and butter until golden, season with salt and black pepper. Drain on kitchen paper. You can also add sliced button mushrooms if you like. Mix with cooked chicken and some diced ham (smoked is nice). for two people i reckon a large chicken breast and roughly 150gms or 5oz cooked ham (diced gammon is nice) is about right
Now you can either do a tomato sauce like for lasagne, jarred sauce is fine, else use two tins of chopped, some puree (2tbls) some mixed herbs BIG Handful of fresh, or two teaspoons of dried, some more fried onion and garlic and S&Pepper,
OR You can make a white sauce (again jarred is fine) and can add cheese or mushrooms to this. (2oz butter, 2 oz flour, seasoning, pint of semi-skimmed milk - melt butter add flour and stir all the time, gradually add milk whisking all the time until thick)
Add chicken mixture to sauce of choice, and fill cannelloni tubes.
Pour some white sauce in the bottom of a dish your cooking in, add tubes of filled cannelloni, cover with white sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese bake for about 3/4 of an hour gas 4, 180/350 to test if cooked stick a knife in one of the tubes, if soft then it's cooked! nice with garlic bread and a crispy fresh salad

Can be made with any left-over meat, mince, even corned beef, or vegetables
Thank you very much for the recipe
I am going to make it on FrIday, i will let know if my family liked it.
Still no taste/smell so Lobster Bisque and lemon juice!
Question Author
Bigfoot, have you tried brushing your tongue? and a steam-bath to drain your sinus'? that might help with the taste/smell thing - it usually does for me anyway
Lobster Bisque

Cannelloni

Cheeses Galore (!)

Pimms
Lobster bisque, the cold platter and fresh fruit flan for me. No cheesecake.... no sticy toffee pud. Oh sod it, I'll have all three. I do like a pud. Plenty of pimms would be very nice.
All bought from Waitrose I bet JJ
Nothing wrong with Waitrose, cr !
No mercia I've just suffered in silence, but I do have vicks, maybe a vicks steam would help!
Sainsbury's keep the riff-raff out of Waitrose!!
