Just spoke to OH asking what he wanted for dinner. He said soup with salad as it's too muggy for a heavy dinner. Soup and salad though..

Ewwwww.... I always associate soup with winter myself. The combo does nothing for me. Yuck. lol

That's what I was thinking. He said he had it all the time in America....what ever floats his boat. It's not like it's hard work chopping a bit of salad..
No problem - neither are filling in themselves, together they make a nice light meal. Can't see a problem.

I always associate salad with pet food myself. Rabbits guinea pigs, etc.

i have soup and salad quite often winter and summer, ok i am wierd though
give him gazpacho, thats virtually liquidised salad.
sounds perfectly reasonable to me....a nice smoked haddock bisque followed by a greek salad with lots of olives and feta cheese...Can you get me some olives Jack

I presuming he means soup in a bowl, placed on a plate with the salad and bread. That's what I'm presuming anyway.

Not ill....not watching my weight.

He works outside and says it's too warm for a big dinner....so he wants soup and salad. Easy for me....the soup is cooked now. Tastes nice.
