uggh ive just cooked some frozen green beans and in it was what looked like to me a piece of skin which looked like it had either hair or feathers on -do i complain to the shop i got it from or the manufacturer?

nasty. if it was actually in the veg i would suggest complain to the manufacturers as it sounds it got in during packaging and therefore would not be the fault of the shop.

Make sure you keep the foreign object and don't send it when you complain. try sending a photo of it instead. say you have it for examination if they want.

sound suitably shocked and disgusted, 'was once a loyal customer etc' and you might get a nice bit of cash.

could it not be a piece of the bean pod?

It could have been just a tiny bit that got through the system and went brown. The pods do have little "hairy" fibres on them. 

Definetly complain, it nearly always pays off.  Even if as crisgal says, it is a piece of bean pod, it shouldn't really be there.  You did not pay for bean pod.  Write to the company and say you found a piece of employee and they will be at your mercy!
Contact you local council environmental health department, they will take all the details and chase it up for you

It depends on who made it. If it is a Supermarket own brand, take it back to them. If it's Birds Eye or something else, go to the manufacturer.
