Lobster the best taste in the world?

What is the fascination we have with this overpriced crustacean? Ive never tasted that or fresh crab which I heard to some people tastes better then lobster. So have you tasted either? How good is it and Is it worth the money?

mmm fresh scallops with the roe.....sadly lobster does seem to be tough these days. properly the flesh should be firm but tender like a fillet steak but with a sweet marine taste. I have given up on lobster. I used to love crab but that too seems either dry if its the white meat or over strong if its the brown.
Yes, I've had lobster and I do love it.
It is very pricey, depending on where you have it. Best I ever had was a pub on the Hereford to Worcester road. We'd asked him to get us the two biggest lobsters he could source and he didn't let us down. He was a fantastic chef and a lovely guy who sadly died of lung cancer at the age of 34.
