has anyone ever made one of these? they were on offer in aldi a few weeks or so ago and i bought one to see what it was like, it was some sort of curry.
inside the box you got a number of sachets - one with rice, one with spices, one with vegetables (if you can call a couple of teaspoons of dried peas and a few flakes of what i assume was dried onion, veg), one with some dark green dust to add to yoghurt, and one with stuff to add water to to make a type of flat bread.
you added your own minced lamb, some olive oil, and yoghurt.
what i also added was some proper veg (cauli, celery, onion, red pepper, sugar snap peas), lots of mint sauce, loads more curry powder....and i wish i'd added more rice and thrown the bread mix stuff out!
i assume it was supposed to be a 'convenience' kit but to be honest it would have been far easier to do the whole thing from scratch myself!

I think the idea is that you can use a kit if you don't have all the ingredients. I don't use a lot of spices, they go off when I do, so having it all in one kit would be really handy for me. It doesn't sound it this was very nice, though!

boxy, it was all the faffing around that put me off, and having to add lots of extra things to make it tasty. the stuff in the spice sachet was the same as the medium curry powder i have and there wasn't nearly enough of it. and the bread was really awful.i felt it was a waste of money although i take your point about it being handy for some people. mind you, all you'd need is a pot of curry powder to be able to make it.
memo to self - don't buy this one! thanks ethandron, worth knowing in case it catches my eye in Aldi (generally the stuff in there is good value).
it doesnt look that appealing anyway

i've enjoyed his couscous in the past 4get, and these dinner kits were on special offer so i thought they'd be worth a try. to be fair, it didn't taste disgusting, just needed quite a bit of titivating to make it tastier.
i'd agree with you boxy, generally aldi's stuff is great.
