CAJ1's post made me think...I believe spiders hate conkers, (I swear that we have less indoors since I scattered conkers in every dark corner) but my hub says this is an old wives tale. Furthermore he says a week or two ago, the Sun newspaper had a story which said that there was a Youtube post which proved spiders aren't put off by conkers. Has anyone seen that Youtube post...I've looked on Youtube but don't see it...(there are 1000's of spider posts)
thanks bibblebub - checked out a few on youtube and....conkers don't appear to work. Darn...I hate the eight legged things. The only good spider in my world is a squashed spider!
tanks daffy and acoupleleft. I read that citrus or lavender chases them. I am going camping in Africa at the end of the year and I don't want them in my sleeping bag......
Betterware sell a spray called 'Spider Stop' - I think its a combination of horse chestnut and cloves - and it does work. I spray in areas where the little bleeders come in - especially where the radiator pipes come from the floorboards - I have seen many a spider come in this way.
That spray thingy does work.A few months back someone posted a thread about the same thing and got up next morning to find spider webs all over the conkers.Go with the spray.
