Sloe makes lovely jam or compote: Equal weight of sugar to fruit. Pick out pips & tie up in plastic net. Cover fruit with boiled water, add sugar & keep stirring for sugar to disolve, while jam simmers, add net of pips, (pectin). Simmer for 1hour till drip on cold plate skins over.
Sterilise bottles by filling with boiling water, in preparation for receiving jam.
