I fancy making a loaf of tea cake for toasting (for breakfast) - is it actually called tea cake? Thanks

you get tea cake which is a cake and then you get currant bun which i've also heard of referred to as the same name - which one are you talking about?

I'm thinking of a spiced bread with dried fruit in it which (after it's cooked) you slice and toast and spread with butter (sometimes comes in a sort of flat bread roll shape).
I've seen that referred to a s a bun loaf.
