Why are the high protein whey shake powder mixes that body builders drink so expensive? Is there an alternative you can make at home using cheaper alternative ingredients that would be just as effective?

Expensive? Aah you're probably talking about the ready made ones. I buy bulk unflavoured powder and make my own. much cheaper! if you need more guidance just ask and I'll be glad to help.

Many thanks for your replies guys. Very much appreciated. I've googled up a few good recipes but most of them include whey powder and that's really expensive (from £27 upwards the cheapest) where can you buy this stuff cheaper? or what can I use instead that's affordable? How and where do you buy your ingredients when making your shakes Mark? Any help would be appreciated thanks
