venison burgers and game pie

i went to a xmas fayre at lord Butes estate,i bought venison burgers cos they smelled nice,do i cook them the same as ordinary burgers and what do you suggest i serve with them,i also got a game pie which has venison,pheasant,pork,rabbit,pigeon,chicken .i will give it to my son he likes that type of thing,

Game pie is lovely, with strong flavours, kate - have it with fairly strong-tasting root vegetables, or cold with a godo hearty salad.

Grill 'em the same as normal burgers ... Don't cook it beyond medium-rare, it'll taste better.

Try Sainsbury's diced venison in a casserole, fabulous.

I used to get M&S venison grills-basically the same as burgers. I always had them with a red wine gravy,and sauteed red onions.

Venison burgers? Choose your own accompaniments but make sure you put a big dollop of English mustard on the side of everyone's plates. (The flavour of the burgers is strong enough to require English mustard, rather than any other type).

Game pie?
Your gravy need to be really rich. Tip a generous measure of port into it ;-)
