I like to feed the birds but has any body noticed a severe shortage of coconuts in the shops .

There's distinct lack of fresh, locally produced tropical fruit in ALL my local shops....can't think why......! :)

I like to feed the birds too. Unfortunately, all my efforts are doing (despite the fact that I feed them on the lake edge rather than in the garden) is advertising a "buffet" for one of the cats. Anyone got a shovel?!

I don't put coconuts out for the birds, they seem happy enough with what I give them, so no, I haven't noticed the shortage :-)

plenty of fat filled coconut shells in the petshops though and the birds prefer them
