I saw this tip in the paper today - to peel your veg the day before. Would they need to be kept covered in water to stop them going brown? Would that not make them taste too watery?

i love cooking a roast Lottie.

As you've said, it's probably one of the easiest meals too cook, apart from the one pot stuff. You just slam everything either in the oven or cooker top and leave.

Nigella has spoken...
But you're not confined to the kitchen are you naomi?

As ive said, surely the prepping of everything takes 10-15 minutes maxiimum?
I agree with Lottie ,you lose all the vitamins if you put them in water too soon ,and I never peel carrots or parsnips, I just rub them with a paper towel ,there will be plenty of time to peel enough potatoes while the turkey is cooking
shut it snaggles :P

Do I take it you're cooking CD's Christmas dinner then?

You hear for tips?

Indeed I am B00. A big Pork Tenderloin fillet stuffed with... er... stuff.

And if anyone is interested, I shall be prepping my veg on the day.
Excellent, I fully expect to get a text from CD telling me she's been stuffed.

Errr, then again, perhaps not, putr me off me own dinner ;-)
I like to be alone in the kitchen with all the meats
Ahhh, how easily we turn to smut, rofl.

B00. How can you possibly peel all the veg and make stuffings, sauces, and everything else in 10-15 minutes? I even lay the table on Christmas Eve because that's not a quick job either.
''Ahhh, how easily we turn to smut, rofl. ''

You started it. I shall be beating my meat on xmas morning... pork tenderloin needs it don't you think?

I doubt B00 goes to the trouble... half a gallon of stand a spoon up in Bisto and a bucket of Paxo...
Snags, you missed the bit about 'laying' the table.
Paxo stuffing takes 5 minutes?

Sauces? Open a jar...voila! so errr 10 seconds there?
