I'm no Gordon Ramsay but surely that would just turn them to mush?
45 minutes at least... ideally you want the sprouts to disintegrate in to green mush when drained...
Isn't that a whiffey joke? ;-)

Forget you cooking the sprouts, give em to me, i love em.
I put mine on in November................
shredded stirfried in garlic butter with shredded almonds and caraway seeds.....
I'm under instructions from Mr Boo not to put any "of those poisonious little green b@st@rds" on his plate on Christmas day.

All the more for me then!
You could be in a bit of bother with the sprouts there Sandy....mine have been gently bubbling since Easter Monday.....old family tradition....then on Christmas morning they are just about right!
Buy the ones in a see-through packet from Tescos- bung in microwave for 3 minutes- perfect.

I tend to get them started in June, you wouldn't want them underdone.
Don't panic! B&M have them in tins. Shudder
A small thermonuclear device should be sufficient for sprouts.
I love sprouts..........parboil mine for about 3 minutes, drain, then fry in butter for a couple of minutes.......lush with black pepper.
Never tried em fried- they as good that way?
Gorgeous Boo.......you can fry them with lardons in goose fat as well...
I would just simmer them for about 10 - 15 mins. Nothing worse than soggy sprouts which is nomrally what I get at my mums so I smother them in gravy.
There's not a lot I don't like, but I don't like brussels.....
oh im tempted to do some for tea that way, sounds gorgeous.
