Merrydown Dry Cider

Does anyone have any idea where I can get the above? They used to sell it in Tesco but they now seem to only do the medium version which is too sweet for my Dad. It's the only thing he really likes to drink and I would be disappointed if he couldn't have a bit of his favourite tipple over xmas.

I don't know Milly, but my eyes were drawn to this question. It was the favourite drink of lots of us in the sixties. Very strong!! I don't think I have drunk it since - in fact I didn't know it still existed.

tesco.com still list it - so I imagine a larger Tesco that your local one might still stock it.

I think I've seen it in Morrisons - but again it might be a branch thing.

I don't like cider normally Lofty but I tried some of this last year and I quite enjoyed it. Didn't realise it was that strong though, I always just thought Dad was a light weight as he doesn't drink often. :o)

No Asda round here but I'll try and squeeze into Sainsburys in town later. The Tesco I went to was the big one sadly. I know they used to sell it in there but there wasn't even a label for the dry sort now, just the medium stuff. Hope I can get some. Thanks for the answers.

(It used to be extremely strong - sold in much smaller bottles than other ciders. However 45 years on it may well have changed!!)

Do they have any alternatives such as Thatchers or Stoford Press?

Thanks Mccfluff. Most shops seem to sell the medium but I need the dry stuff. Am planning on looking in sainsburys when they finally let me out of this blinking office.
