UK - Robinsons Best, Tanglefoot, OP

Aussie - Crown lager

Thai - not Singha!!

Indonesian - Bintang

Seppie - Sam Adams (national) Magic Hat (VM) Napa Red (CA)

Ivory Coast - Mamba (complete with lumps!)

Thanks Xollop & Quizzie, I'll tell him that!

Also, I've never heard anyone say "We're going for a lager" it's always "We're going for a beer".

Hehe sorry Natalie_1982 - no offence taken/meant. Fancy an alcoholic hop-based fermented beverage?

From a handpump - Young's Ordinary Bitter.

From a bottle - very cold Budweiser

In a can, Bass

In a bottle, Bager Golden Glory

Draught, Jennings Bitter and Ringwood 49er

 In my opinion.

czech lager is the best

try Pilsner Urquell. on tap is best but thats hard to come by in the UK. Try a trip to Prague... They have a different beer in every village! there are so many! And the best thing, it's cheap. A pint of the best beer in the world will cost you a mere 35p

We've already established this and that some people do refer to lager as beer and some don't.
beer can mean lager or ale, on continent ask for beer, get lager. good ales are Brains SA , Kingsdown Ale, Old Peculiar, Fullers Special Export and others too numerous too mention. However, after 12 hrs in 140 degrees a cold original heineken ( not eurofizz ) is very welcome. Passion or Poison!!
Ringwood Best.  Don't like lager much, although Coors Lite is OK.  I'm mainly a cider drinker though. Mmmmmmmmmmmm Thatchers..........

mine would be becks and of course some guinness
mmmmmmmmmmm me not sure

For me it has to be Oranjeboom, love the stuff

The best beers are alcoholic (Yes there are some people that think castrated beers are good for you), they should have a rounded pleasant taste and must be refreshingly cool ! If a beer meets all these points I will happily drink it.

I personally prefer German lager to English beer, but then I haven't lived in England since 1978. When I visit England I order light and bitter, which adds a bit of life and sparkle to English flat beer, without taking the bitter taste away.

Wards bitter. It was originally brewed in Sheffield but now brewed by Jennings so is available in Sheffield and in Jennings pubs around the country. Absolutely delicious stuff!
