Yes.
Certainly can be frozen! But if you include veg like carrots they will be soggy on defrosting so maybe add these cooked to a frozen stew? Onions and celery (a must for flavour in the gravy) will be fine like this, and some carrots too to let them flavour your gravy or serve them on the side!
Yes - I always have some stew leftover and I can't bear to throw it away. So it goes into the freezer to be heated for a quick meal some time in the future. If you only have a tiny bit of stew leftover, still freeze it, and mix it in with some mashed potatoes for a lovely pie filling
yes but its really nice if you eat it a few days later
I use the stewed beef with onions asa base day one with carrots swede parsnip and bits of spud and dumplings then leave itto stand in the fridge about day 4 add red wine, mushrooms cream cheese and seasoning to the reast of the meat and onions
I made a beef stew yesterday, in my slow cooker. I left it to go cold overnight and have skimmed the fat off the top. We are eating it later with some crunchy jacket potatoes. I always freeze any leftovers and make a plate pie with them.
